Tatiana > 2nd Jan. 2009 Canadian Parliament Building We didn't do it to Europe, so we are still hanging around in the freezing Ottawa: -20° C / -4°F ... not the best time for taking photos :)
Tatiana > 1-st Jan. 2009 New Year's party! I took this at the party last night or ... this morning - not very sure :) in an Italian restaurant. Too bad that at 3 o'clock when we left I forgot his business card on the table, and I cannot send him the photos... Good reason to go back tonight ;) Happy New Year 2009 everybody!!! PS: This is a shot straight from the camera, I didn't touch it other than transferring it from iphoto library to a folder on my desktop... hmm strange... I never had this problem before...

I'd like to mention that this was an instant/live shot on the street - it was not pre-arranged. - I just ran after them to take the photo; needless to say that I didn't use a tripod...
Tatiana > 27 Dec. 08 Christmas Day Another photo I took in the Christmas Day at the Orthodox Church I took it because I really liked the overall look and presence of the girl in the foreground. However, when I put the camera to my eye, I saw a scene, rather than a shot: the girl in back was looking to the first one with some kind of disapproving eyes... - I realized that I created an unintentional conflict there, disturbing their peaceful day with my photos... :(
Tatiana > 26. Dec. 08 Orthodox Christmas Mass We participated yesterday in the Orthodox Christmas mass. Kind of hard to take photos there without disturbing the holy atmosphere... They turned out a little blurry and not in focus, as I would hoped... by making them into watercolor images helps a little...

Tatiana > 24 Dec. 08 Under the light of the Chrismas Tree We finally put up the Christmas tree last night... Actually my husband Bill did it - (this is for Bill Pador - http://allbiz.smugmug.com/gallery/6464803_UmdP9#440481332_JHHTX ) * I'm still very busy with my business, trying to finish the current projects, before we leave for Europe ( in few days...) After dinner, he' s relaxing on his favorite chair, in front of the television and generally falls asleep while holding his wine glass... :) Today we'll finish the tree with the other ornaments - busy and funny time :) I wish you all a funny and successful day on fine touching the the Christmas tasks ... and keep an eye on the tree tonight ;) All the best and thank you soo much for all your so many comments on my galleries you made me sooo happy! :) !

Even though I'm just a beginner and I don't consider myself a photographer, but just a shooter, I decided to go again to the contest, because this is the way I can effectively challenge myself and learn more. The contest #15 is "Family or strangers" We went yesterday to a toy store to buy 2 chrismas gifts for 2 kids who are out of country and there I got an idea for my entry :) My project is entitled "Take me home!" and here I will post every day one of the ones I consider my best, for your comments, please... - don't worry there are only 9 of them :) Thank you.
Tatiana > 20 Dec. 08 Coffee break I don't have any fresh photo for today, so I looked into my archive. This is a quick snapshot I took in Mexico City in May this year - he's obviously a homeless person, who just found (or received) a cup of coffee and some leftovers... He's wearing a kind of jump suit and bedroom slippers... The whole scene looked very interesting to me...
